The
Galipovac Lake
is
one of the three lakes in the district of Lokvičići. Together
with the Mamići Lake and the Knezovići Lake it is fairly
unknown and unexplored. These lakes and their karst valleys,
hills covered with gardens, various ruins and other
archaeological sites, represent a tourist attraction that simply
must be visited. The view is beautiful; you can see the Imotsko
Polje Valley and the Prološko Blato Lake, which floods most of
the surrounding area throughout the whole year.
Imo
adventure
offers you a trekking trip along the edge of all three lakes and
a tour of some of the archaeological sites with beautiful
landscapes which you can take pictures of. You can descent into
the Mamići Lake, take a swim or even dive in it. If you are
willing, you will be able to try a more demanding descent into
the Galipovac Lake, too. These lakes are more than 50 m deep and
the water is clear.
This trip can be adjusted to your requests. From an easy
trekking trip with amazing landscapes, archaeological sites and
beautiful old cascade-shaped vineyards we can transform it into
a more demanding one.
Lunch,
serving the local specialities of Imotski prepared at the very
edge of the lake, can be arranged.
Time required for this trip is 4 hours plus the lunchtime.
It’s not a demanding trip; anybody can come. The price of the
trip is 230 kn (a guide and lunch included), 280 kn with the
decline and a swim in the Mamići Lake (a guide, rock –
climbing equipment, lunch).
